Anne Terpstra (Team Ghost Factory) and Barbara Benko (Focus XC International) brought Northwave on the podium's top spot of the Afxentia Stage Race, first round of the Cyprus Sunshine Cup (February 23rd-26th).
The 25-year-old Dutch, equipped by the Italian brand with Extreme XC shoes, Skeleton gloves and Extreme Tech Plus socks, claimed a prestigious success in the opening stage ahead of Swiss Margot Moschetti and the teammate, Swede Alexandra Engen. In addition, the 27-year-old Magyar biker preceded in the stage 3 Norwegian Gunn-Rita Dahle and another Northwave’s biker, German Sabine Spitz (Wiawis Bikes Pro Team).
The German off-road icon showed a great consistency in the Cyprius event finishing second in the GC, 0:04 behind winner Githa Michiels, whilst Hungarian Benko placed third at 1:44. Fifth overall place for Swede Engen.
Team Ghost Factory and Team Focus XC International are supplied by the Venetian company based in Onigo di Pederobba (Treviso, Northern Italy).
