Silver medal in the Individual Pursuit and bronze in the Team Pursuit: Filippo Ganna has once again confirmed to belong in the elite of velodromes, claiming two medals at the 2017 World Championships in Hong Kong with Northwave Extreme RR shoes.
On Thursday April 13th, the 20-year-old Italian rider led the Italian quartet - including two more Northwave’s athletes, Simone Consonni and Francesco Lamon - to the bronze medal, helping Italy to break a 19-year medal drought, as Australia clinched gold ahead of Nuova Zelanda.
After the satisfaction of the Team Pursuit, on Friday April 14th, the UAE Emirates rider took part in the Individual pursuit, in a quest to defend the World Champion title conquered last year in London. The Italian prospect grazed an historical repeat, taking a wonderful silver behind the new World Champion, Australian Jason Kerby.
