Swiss Bike Cup starts in the name of Northwave at Tamaro Trophy

One-two for Ghost XC in the stage 1 of the Swiss XC circuit: Swiss Alessandra Keller won over Ramona Forchini. Mathias Flückiger runner-up in the men’s race

The Northwave athletes started in the best way the 2018 Swiss Bike Cup, the most important Mountain Bike Cross Country circuit in Switzerland. At Tamaro Trophy, Swiss youngster Alessandra Keller (Thömus RN Racing Team) dominated the women’s race, soloing to the finishing line. Behind the winner, Ramona Forchini (Brunex Felt Factory Team) completed a one-two for Northwave 25 seconds later, whilst Julie Bresset completed the day’s podium.

Keller could rely on her Ghost XC shoes, the first Northwave’s MTB model featuring the exclusive XFrame® technology, that eliminates the pressure points on the upper, offering the maximum power transfer on the pedals and the snuggest fit ever.

U23 and Elite World Champions respectively, Sina Frei (Ghost Factory Team) and Jolanda Neff (Kross Racing Team), came in fourth and fifth, rounding out a great overall performance for Northwave. In addition, three more athletes supported by the Italian brand entered the top 10, Austria’s Elisabeth Osl (Brunex Felt Factory Team) and Lisa Pasteiner (Ghost Factory Team), seventh and ninth, and Swiss Kathrin Stirnemann (Thömus RN Racing Team), tenth. A nearly absolute domain for Ghost XC, with 7 athletes of the day’s top 10 equipped with Northwave’s top-range offroad shoes.

Northwave grazed a win also in the men’s race thanks to the strong performance by Mathias Flückiger (Thömus RN Racing Team), second on the finish line 0:33 behind winner Titouan Carod, as Lars Forster claimed the third place.
