From Boario Terme 2017 (Italy) to Graz-Stattegg 2018 (Austria), with the World triumph of Cairns (Australia) in between: Sina Frei (Switzerland) once again reaffirmed her supremacy in the Mountain Bike Cross Country season (U23), in the Women’s race of the European Championships, in Graz-Stattegg, on Sunday July 29th.
With her Northwave Ghost XC shoes - characterized by the exclusive XFrame® technology, that eliminates the pressure points on the upper - the 21-year-old Swiss biker preceded on the finish line Italian Marika Tovo (+1’06”) and Spaniard Rocio del Alba Garcia Martinez (+1’08”), with another Northwave athlete, Dane Caroline Bohe, fourth at 1’54”.
World Champion in her category, Frei struck her attack in the launching lap, gaining a reassuring margin on the main rivals already in the early looks with an impressive solo action. The two-time U23 European Champion was also in the spotlight in the Team Relay of Thursday July 26th, claiming the silver medal with the Swiss team thanks an remarkable leg, the best among women.
