In Rotorua (New Zealand), Commençal Vallnord Enduro’s rider gave Northwave the first seasonal win
Cécile Ravanel’s 2017 season has started like it finished last year, with another win in the Enduro World Series stage 1. Equipped by Northwave, the Commençal Vallnord Enduro athlete claimed the opening round of the Enduro discipline’s World Cup in Rotorua (New Zealand), on Saturday 25th and Sunday March 26th.
Despite the bad weather conditions that made the routes slow and treacherous, and certainly added to the race’s uncertainty, the French rider still managed to claim seven out of eight stages, preceding Ines Thoma and Anita Gerhig, second and third respectively, by 3’15” and 3’48”.
“I was a little bit nervous because of the rain, I live in the South East of France and there are never these conditions – if it rains I don’t ride! I enjoyed it and I’m happy”, Cécile Ravanel commented.
