Marco Canola (second) and Elie Gesbert (third) graze win in the stage 2 with Extreme RR shoes. Dupont clinches fifth in Binck Bank Tour’s stage 4
Northwave grazed success in 2018 Tour du Limousin’s stage 2 - 176,7 Km from the Base Départementale de Rouffiac to the Coteau de Grèzes – with Marco Canola and Elie Gesbert, one year after the win conquered by Gesbert in 2017 edition’s opening stage.
The rider of Team Nippo-Vini Fantini-Europa Ovini, entirely supplied with Northwave Extreme RR shoes, clinched second on the finish line, behind winner Luca Wackermann, whilst Gesbert completed the day’s podium. Seventh place for another Northwave’s rider, Wanty-Groupe Gobert’s Thomas Degand.
Now, Marco Canola occupies the third overall place, one second behind leader Anthony Roux, as Elie Gesbert leads the Youth Classification with 8 seconds over Lorenzo Rota and 10 on Miguel Eduardo Florez.
Northwave also entered the top-5 in Binck Bank Tour’s stage 4 (Blakenberge - Ardooie 165,5 Km), stage race of the UCI World Tour calendar, with Wanty-Groupe Gobert’s Timothy Dupont, fifth with Extreme RR shoes and Extreme Air socks. Belgian Jesper Stuyven conquered the stage win ahead of Aussie Caleb Ewan and Czech Zdenek Stybar.
