Limousin: Degand runner-up in Chaumeil. Gesbert maintains the lead

Wanty-Groupe Gobert’s 31-year-old rider grazes win in stage 3 with Extreme RR shoes and Extreme Air socks. Northwave maintains the overall leadership with the Fortuneo-Oscaro’s rider. Mark Padun celebrates at the U23 G.P. Capodarco, in Italy

Thomas Degand of Wanty-Groupe Gobert, team entirely equipped by Northwave with Extreme RR shoes and Extreme Air socks, finished second in Tour du Limousin’s stage 3 (Saint-Pantaléon de Larche - Chaumeil 184,7 Km), in France, on Thursday August 17th. The 31-year-old Belgian rider was preceded by Cyril Gautier in the sprint of the escapees, whilst Nicolas Edet placed third.

With a stage to go at the Tour du Limousin, opening stage winner Elie Gesbert (Fortuneo-Oscaro) and Northwave maintained the overall leadership with 4 seconds of advantage on Alexis Vuillermoz and 19 seconds on Italian Francesco Gavazzi.

Yesterday, Wednesday August 16th, Ukrainian prospect Mark Padun (Team Colpack) claimed a prestigious win in Italian Gran Premio di Capodarco U23 race, preceding  Kazakhstan’s Yuriy Natarov and Galym Akhmetov, whilst winner’s teammate Filippo Zaccanti finished fourth.
