The European Champion equipped with Northwave Extreme RR shoes entered the second stage’s top-3, consolidating the second place in the Points Classification
Alexander Kristoff and his Northwave Extreme RR shoes claimed the third place in Tour de France’s stage 18 (Trie-sur-Baïse-Pau, 171 Km), on Thursday July 26th. Northwave’s European Champion launched himself in a bunch sprint won by Frenchman Arnaud Démare ahead of Christophe Laporte, as Welsh Geraint Thomas maintained the overall lead.
After his second top-3 spot in the 105th “Grande Boucle”, the 31-year-old Norwegian athlete consolidated the second position in the Points Classification (196) behind World Champion Peter Sagan (467). Kristoff will look forward to a final opportunity to claim a stage win in the 2018 Tour de France, on Sunday July 29th in the traditional finish on Paris-Champs Elysées.
Another Northwave’s athlete, Frenchman Guillaume Martin of the Wanty-Groupe Gobert team, entirely equipped with Extreme RR shoes and Extreme Air socks, occupies the second place in the Youth Classification, 6’27” behind leader Pierre Latour, in view of the Pyrenees “queen stage” of Friday July 27th.
