The XFrame® patented technology of Extreme RR shoes supported the European Champion in Tour de France’s final showdown
Alexander Kristoff and Northwave ended in style the 105th Tour de France, conquering the first success of the 2018 edition in the most prestigious stage for the sprinters, on the Paris Champs-Élysées, in France, on Sunday July 29th.
Supported by the XFrame® patented technology of his Northwave Extreme RR shoes, to transfer each and every watt of his power on pedals when it counted most, the UAE-Team Emirates’ European Champion celebrated in Tour de France’s last stage, 116 Km from Houilles to Paris, after a very long head sprint, preceding German John Degenkolb and Frenchman Arnaud Démare on the iconic Champs-Élysées.
"It's a dream come true - Kristoff said. - I've dreamt about this victory for many years. I've been close many times but never managed to beat the pure sprinters like Cavendish, Kittel or Greipel. Today, I was the fastest so I'm super happy".
Previously, Alexander Kristoff, at the third success in career at the Tour de France, had grazed two stage wins, Friday July 20th with the second place in the stage 13 in Valence, and Thursday July 26th in the stage 18 finishing third on Pau’s finish line. Thanks to these results, the 31-year-old Norwegian rider finished second in the Points Classification (246) behind the World Champion Peter Sagan (477), as Brit Geraint Thomas took the yellow jersey characterizing the overall winner.
