The Swiss champion opened the 2018 in the best way winning the challenge’s final showdown in Meilen. Havlikova gave Northwave the overall success for the second time in her career
Kross Racing Team’s Jolanda Neff opened the new year in the best way claiming the second seasonal win at the EKZ CrossTour, in Meilen, on Tuesday January 2nd, repeating the success secured in Bern.
In a traditional showdown of the Swiss cyclocross challenge, the 24-year-old Mountain Bike Cross Country World Champion preceded on the finish line Christine Majerus. Sina Frei (Ghost Factory Racing Team) completed the day’s podium on her debut with the new team and Northwave Ghost XC shoes.
Northwave also conquered the overall win thanks to Pavla Havlikova (KOOPERATIVA Racing Team). In Meilen, the 34-year-old Czech athlete controlled her rivals, placing sixth. Havlikova gave Northwave the success in the EKZ CrossTour’s GC for the second time in career, totalizing 443 points. Second place for Jasmin Egger-Achermann (390), third Rebecca Gariboldi (322). Swiss Marcel Wildhaber claimed the overall win in the men’s category.
