Eiking’s winning display makes Northwave rejoyce at Tour de Wallonie

Wanty-Groupe Gobert’s Norwegian gave the Italian brand the second stage win in the Belgian race, after the one by Cardis in the opening stage

Odd Christian Eiking of Wanty-Groupe Gobert - team entirely equipped with Northwave Extreme RR shoes and Extreme Air socks - claimed a beautiful win in Tour de Wallonie’s stage 3, 169 Km from Chimay to La Roche-En-Ardenne, in Belgium, on Monday July 30th.

With a winning move in the last 4 kilometers, the 23-year-old Norwegian rider preceded Quinten Hermans and Lorrenzo Manzin, as Tim Wellens retained the overall lead. Eiking now leads the Points Classification with 33 points, ahead of Wellens (28) and Serry (26).

On Saturday July 28th, Northwave had celebrated Frenchman Romain Cardis as opening stage's winner ahead of Belgium’s Michael Van Staeyen and Edward Planckaert.
