Devriendt and Extreme RR on the podium at Binche-Chimay-Binche

Northwave and Wanty-Groupe Gobert claimed another podium spot: the Belgian 25-year-old rider places third in the race dedicated to the late Frank Vandenbroucke. Devriendt’s teammate Kenny Dehaes overall second at Belgian Road Cycling Cup

Tom Devriendt and Northwave finished third at Binche-Chimay-Binche, event dedicated to the late Frank Vandenbroucke. On Tuesday October 3rd, the 25-year-old Belgian athlete of Wanty-Groupe Gobert – team entirely supplied by Northwave with Extreme RR shoes and Extreme Air socks – crossed the finishing line behind winner Jasper De Buyst and Matteo Trentin.

Devriendt worked his way into the decisive attempt together with De Buyst and Trentin in a cobbled section with one kilometer to go. Another Wanty’s rider, Italian Andrea Pasqualon, winner at Coppa Sabatini last week, placed seventh in the first chasing group.

Devriendt and Pasqualon’s teammate, Kenny Dehaes, finished overall second at the Belgian Road Cycling Cup behind De Buyst. Northwave’s 32-year-old rider led the GC for five consecutive stages.
