Cosnefroy and Northwave take podium at Paris-Tours

The former U23 World Champion third in the French classic. Lobato grazed podium at the Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli (Italy)

Benoit Cosnefroy stepped on the podium with his Northwave Extreme RR shoes at the 112nd edition of French classic Paris-Tours on Sunday October 7th. The Ag2r-La Mondiale rider claimed the third place behind winner, Dane Soren Kragh Andersen, and Dutchman Niki Terpstra.

Under 23 World Champion in Bergen 2017, Cosnefroy moved on the attack on the Côte de la Rochère climb, taking advantage of the work from his teammates. Cosnefroy continued his action with Terpstra and Andersen in the race finale, but the Danish rider unleashed the decisive kick with 10 km to go, soloing to the finish line in Tours.

Coppa Sabatini’s winner, Spain’s Juan José Lobato of Team Nippo-Vini Fantini-Europa Ovini, entirely supplied with Northwave Extreme RR shoes, took the fourth place at Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli (Central Italy), as Dutchman Bauke Mollema clinched victory, preceding Spain’s Carlos Barbero and Italy’s Manuel Belletti.
