Totally, 750 athletes of 35 different Countries will take part in the race in teams of two riders: Northwave’s Daniel Geismayr and Hermann Pernsteiner won in the men’s category last year, whilst Esther Suss and Jennie Stenerhag conquered the 2017 women’s crown.
Northwave will support BIKE Transalp as official jersey supplier, designing the leaders jerseys - yellow for men, pink for women, orange for the “mixed” category, blue for “masters” and green for “grand masters”.
Included in the “Performance” line, BIKE Transalp’s jersey are realized by the Custom Project laboratory, in the Northwave headquarters, in Onigo di Pederobba (Treviso, Northern Italy). The jerseys are characterized by raw-cut cuffs with dotted gripper to ensure an excellent fit. The main fabric shows microscopic pores to provide superior breathability and elasticity, whilst the reflective inserts ensure optimal visibility even in low-light conditions.
“Northwave is a brand whose binds with Mountain Bike are historical and the BIKE Transalp is one of the most exciting Marathon stage races - Northwave’s Communication Manager Mauro Baldini explains. - In addition, our presence in the event is based on service, as we have the opportunity to stand by the riders’ side for 7 days in a row, supporting them with our expertise”.
