After the U23 World title, the Swiss Bike Cup overall classification: Alessandra Keller closed the Mountain Bike season in style, claiming the most important Cross Country circuit in Switzerland, on Sunday September 23rd.
In the final stage, in Lugano-Carona (Switzerland), the Thömus/RN Racing Team athlete finished second behind Russian Irina Kalentyeva, preceding her compatriot Nicole Koller. Thanks to this result, Alessandra Keller celebrated the overall win, totalizing 440 points, with two wins and three second places. Behind the Swiss biker, another athlete supplied by Northwave, Ramona Forchini (369 points), whilst Nicole Koller (298) completed the final podium preceding three Northwave bikers: Linda Indergand (Focus XC Team), Kathrin Stirnemann (Thömus/RN Racing) and Jolanda Neff (KROSS Racing Team), fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
In the men’s competition, Northwave grazed the stage win and the overall success with Mathias Flückiger. The Thömus/RN Racing Team biker was runner-up in Lugano, preceded by Italian Champion Gerhard Kerschbaumer, conquering the overall second place with 363 points, behind Lars Forster (371). Northwave’s Reto Indergand (BMC Mountain Bike) claimed the overall third position with 343 points, preceding Matthias Stirnemann and World Champion Nino Schurter.
