Northwave closed in great style the 4 days of race, started on a high with Elie Gesbert’s win on the opening day, Tuesday August 15th. The Fortuneo-Oscaro’s 22-year-old athlete wore the GC jersey in the following stages, finishing second overall behind Alexis Vuillermoz, whilst Italian Francesco Gavazzi completed the final podium.

Martin and Baugnies’ teammate, Belgian Kenny Dehaes, placed fifth in the 32nd Veenendaal Veenendaal Classic, in the Netherlands, as Slovenian Luka Mezgec clinched victory preceding home riders Wouter Wippert and Moreno Hofland.
